What we check first in a free Amazon audit

By Yaqoob Khan Zazai ·

Your Amazon account rarely fails for one big reason. It usually drifts. Here are the seven checks we run first in every free audit, in order.

1. Listings

We start with what shoppers see: titles, bullets, images and backend search terms. Are the main keywords actually on the page, and does the listing answer the questions buyers ask before they buy?

2. Advertising

Next we look at campaign structure and spend. We check for search terms that cost money without selling, missing negative keywords, and budgets that run out before the day is over.

3. Inventory

Stockouts quietly undo good ranking work. We check reorder points, inbound shipments, stranded and excess stock, and how many days of cover the top products have.

4. Account health

We review policy flags, suppressed listings and performance notices so nothing is left unanswered or close to a deadline.

5. Money

We look for money most sellers never claim back: FBA fee errors and lost or damaged inventory that may qualify for reimbursement.

6. Pricing and profitability

We compare price, fees and ad cost per product, so you can see which items make money after everything is paid — not just which ones sell.

7. Reporting

Finally we check what you can see each week. If nobody can say what changed and why, the account keeps drifting. Clear weekly numbers are the fix.
